Therapy for recovery from substance use and harm minimization typically involves a multifaceted approach tailored to individual needs. It begins with establishing a trusting therapeutic relationship where clients feel safe to explore their substance use patterns, triggers, and underlying issues. I apply evidence-based approaches such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Motivational Interviewing (MI), and Schema Therapy. These therapies help clients identify and change harmful behaviors, develop coping strategies for cravings and triggers, and address co-occurring mental health issues like depression or anxiety. Harm reduction principles are integral, focusing on reducing the negative consequences of substance use while supporting clients in setting achievable goals, such as moderation or abstinence. Our work introduce relapse prevention techniques, building a supportive network, and promoting self-care practices to sustain long-term recovery and improve overall well-being.
